Do Equity scholarships always amount to around $1000-$2000, for each year or are there ones that amount to more than that? (p.s I have researched this but didnot seem to find any that are more than this.)

hmm centrelink might reduce your youth allowance then... i'm not sure what you can earn up to though.
getting an equity scholarship will lower it again.. i suppose your chancees might go down XD but really i have no idea of that chances

I currently receive an Equity Scholarship, and I go to MQ. It's valued at ~$2400/year. It doesn't effect my centrelink payments. When I applied for it, the schools career advisor gave me all the relevant information and forms which spelt out everything I needed to know at the time.

I think they have changed the scholarships in the last year, so things may be different then from what I remember.

Confirmed for Commonwealth Equity Scholarships.
Commonwealth Scholarship income is 'exempt income' for the purposes of the Social Security Act. CS recipients' scholarship income is not taken into account when applying the Personal Income Test for Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY, or the primary payment of students receiving a Pensioner Education Supplement.
