Is the 891, 391, 393 and 395 buses from central to UNSW all pre-pay?

pretty sure 891 is the only pre paid service

you should still use prepay on the other buses though, no reason not to

If you board any bus from within the CBD on a weekday, be prepared for it to be prepay only.

You can always buy extra travel tens ahead of time, since they are 20% off the 'cash price' and the rides don't expire until you've used each travel ten for 10 times.

I have to go to UNSW for enrolment advising tomorrow, I was wondering where would I buy a pre-pay ticket for the bus? Or if there are any buses that aren't pre-pay service?

most of the city busses are gonna be prepay.

get prepay tickets from the newsagent in central station, or the one on eddy avenue (after exiting central, dont cross road to get to the bus stops, go left and walk for ~40 seconds, it's to your left)

5-10 wait

10-15 ride
dude what?
in the first few (probably weeks 1-4) the lines are like 30 mins if you're gonna wait, they go all the way up eddy av and then some
it dies down a fair bit after that but 9am is still packed as shit

for what its worth, if you get there before say 8.15 you'll be on a bus within 5 mins
the line gets HEAPS immediately after that and is like that til just after 9.

There are some buses to (or near) the university that don't leave from Eddy Avenue, right? Are those less crowded, or is it all about the same?

If you can; don't catch 395/93. It goes around the world before you get to UNSW. 891 is such a quick service.

Yeah if I have to be there at 9 I go to museum and get an 892 or metrobus.

All buses in the city are pre-paid only 700-1900 but you'd be mad to commute without a weekly/travel ten, you save heaps.
