What do you think of my job preference? (1 Viewer)

I thought this would be a good time to start planning my future so I thought I should get suggestions.
Lets say I got 80 ATAR ( Aiming low so I wont shoot myself if it dont get over 90).

My first preference is mechatronics at any university that offer this course.
Is there a way for me to get into Mechatronics?? ( I have an interest in building robots... like the ones in terminator ).
But is there like a scheme or program or whatever that would guarantee me a job in a robot developing industry? To be honest I dont know how well this job even pays? Do i only get paid if I manage to make a robot or is it like salary even if you dont do anything?

My second preference ( maybe more realistic) is accounting or any office job. Why? Because I want a job where I can wear a nice suit to work everyday and not be so much under stress like i am now and make enough money to survive ( LAWL, it sounds like Barney Stinson).

So yeah pretty much what title says.

Mechatronics is very cool. UNcle offers a B. Engineering (Mechatronics), I think a few other unis do too.

ATAR at Newcastle is around the 78 mark so not impossible.

That aside... there are always ways to get into Uni if you don't initially get the ATAR needed for the course. Talk to your Careers Advisor, they should be able to help with this.

m8, thats the worst reason to become an accountant, also accoutants area minor segment of office. If that is your reason, you will be under stress 24/7
