hey guys, can anyone tell me how competitive it is to be accepted into the JD program at melbourne? what kind of average pay would i be looking at once i've finished the course? obviously it varies widely, but i'd love to know a ball park figure.

is anyone else preparing for the LSAT?

thanks

Not sure how competitive it is to get in, or about LSATs, but as a current LLB student I think the rough ballpark figure for grads at top tier commercial law firms is about $65K. Not sure whether these firms would place any premium on the fact you're a JD grad (cf. LLB) or not.

Firm Spy | Law firm news and gossip, accounting and investment bank rumours, quips and humour has a salary survey and it seems pretty accurate.
hey mate, thanks for the link, but i dont see any mention of salaries?

i'm thinking it might not be worth doing law.

Do a search for it somewhere, it's from a few months ago. There has also been discussion of law firm salaries somewhere on this site itself.

Time to get start using those research skills! :p
