I'm with pony_magician on this.
I've lived in port macquarie for the past 10 years, and it's not the kind of place where people have schoolies (unless you want a super low-profile schoolies trip). It has a number of names and taglines with it, one being 'God's waiting room', which is fairly correct. A significantly larger-than-average proportion of its population (compared to most other places) is old people, and when it's pension day, you do not want to be on the road at all.
I'm thinking of going to the gold coast, or somewhere north or port macquarie for schoolies. And i still won't be old enough to drink *legally* anyway (stupid drinking age), which means i'll have to be the deso driver for all my drunk friends, which'll be crap, because they'll be puking all through my car.
Haven't figured out where, but i will not be here for schoolies.
