Re: Trials soon

can any 85+ ATAR students tell us what they did? just past papers, essay plans + memorising them?
Well, I haven't graduated, but I did do the 2U Math HSC last year and did alright, so I can give you some (very general)advice.
English : Memorise quotes and techniques and effects of the techniques. Don't try memorising an essay word for word. After all...there are three in the HSC, and you're answering a specific question. Bit difficult to regurgitate that many words...:/
Maths : Past papers. Mark and see what topics you're getting wrong. go back to the textbook and work on problems for topics of difficulty.
Can't really offer any advice on your other subjects...

Re: Trials soon

Mostly worried about eng and 4u
what r u worried about in 4U?

the funny thing is for me, the hardest part of 4 unit trial papers is curve sketching, which should be quite easy. in the exam it just ruins my momentum.

Re: Trials soon

Anyone else have like that break before 3U at the end? I'm not doing any 3U, then I'm just gonna cram and drink coke for those 3 days...

well im not even studying for 3 unit, my school has no probability or binomial in our trial so its going to be easy as. unless my teacher sets it.

Re: Trials soon

Love being in prelim and having a real holiday :p

Fast forward a year, and my hair will be falling out from stress and I'll be falling asleep on past papers and rocking back and forth going "curse the green and yellow, curse James Ruse".

Ok being a bit dramatic, maybe should channel that if I do 4U English.

Re: Trials soon

applications
Our last assessment was volumes and the polynomial/complex breed. We did so many questions, 18 out of the 36 marks on the test were on complex.

I know you're pain, but man, after you do enough of them they're ok :\ And i mean, enough :\

Re: Trials soon

game over for me
GG man come on bro

it seems ur skool has a pretty strong maths cohort.
Hmm well I'm expecting that 5/7 of the students doing 4U get E4 and around 15-20/35 students doing MX1 to get E4, and with 20-25/100 ppl in 2U get band 6
so it's actually quite good for our school
