Because it is stupid and there are proper debates to be had about issues where a positive contribution can be made to humanity.
killing ppl like this is a positive contribution to humanity

which option is more efficient?
given that killing them costs like 40-70% more (as well as degrades our humanity I guess) id say prison

It's not a manner of efficiency, it boils down to an exercise of morality. Do you think that the State should have the power to murder people because it thinks it is right to do so? Do you think that punishing someone in the same way as the crime they committed is just (apart from kidnapping)? If you answered yes to either of those questions kindly never post again

The State doesn't really care about how much money it spends which is why I ignored that part

but the answer wud be no to both questions. what i've been trying to say is that this person deserves to die whether some1 kills him or not doesnt really affect me in anyway

Re: Massive terrorist attacks in Norway, over 30+ dead

killing people doesnt cost more lol

maybe if there's an extensive appeals process

just scrap the appeals process and kill people (how does it degrade our humanity i dont get it) but raise the burden of proof so high that only in times when we're 100% sure they did it do we get to kill them

i'd be in favour of public executions again

Geeze, trials next week and all the time i've had available for studying was spent on reading his 'manifesto', 300 pages down and more to go
