Depends on the subject and how well it aligns. For standard, there isnt much of a gap between raw marks and final marks. However, with subjects like Chemistry, MX1, MX2 and physics, there is a big difference.

Roughly, if your ranks are in the top three for chem or MX1, how big of a difference is it?

In modern and business, to get a band 6 externally, you need a raw external mark of around 81-86/100, but usually its like 83 or 84. Raw marks can change significantly from year to year though.

What about mine :3
Maths 2 unit: mid-high 90's/120 (last year 94 = band 6)
MX1: I think 54/84 (not sure on this one, someone correct me if I'm wrong)
Physics: High 70's (last year 78 = band 6)

The others I'm not sure on. With english, its hard to say because I think paper one is worth 40% whilst paper two is worth 60%, so the BOS puts your english mark out of 100 before aligning it. You should note that raw marks can change significantly from year to year.
