IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE AN INTERNAL MARK OF 60 AND AN EXTERNAL MARK OF 85 OR 90.... AND STILL ACHIEVE AN OVERALL BAND 5 IN SUBJECTS LIKE;

- PHYSICS
-MODERN HISTORY
-BIOLOGY

*marks of 60 include poor ranking!

An internal mark of 60 and an external mark of 85 will result in 73.

Neither of which is a Band 5, so the answer to your question is no.

Unless you're referring to raw marks?

For your internal raw marks - it depends on how difficult the exam is. And also, what rank your school is.

An 85/90 raw in the HSC is the equivalent of a Band 6, so I'd say, yeah, it would be sufficient for a Band 5
