does it help?

is it allowed?

positives vs. negatives?

I had a triple shot cappuccino before my english prelim. exam last week and I think it really helped. I went faster and finished well before the time limit - usually that's a big problem for me.

i took a red bull before all of my trial exams and i think it really helped me. I think the caffeine helped me stay focused and not get fatigued. 3 hours is a long time to be working at your brains max, use whatever resources you can.
Just do practice runs on caffeine under exam conditions to test the effects.

Not the biggest fan of coffee before an exam - particularly three hour exams. You could crash and burn really easily, particularly if there isn't enough coffee to sustain you.

Also, increases the likelyhood that you will need to go to the can. Nothing worse then holding a pee during an exam.

I dont think so. I'm pretty sure you can only take water in a clear bottle with no label.

Just do whatever works for you - honestly there are no black and white answers to stuff like this.

Personally I'm extremely receptive to caffeine and it results in mild anxiety and weird stuff like that. As a result I tend to stay away.

Just make sure you take a bottle of water in with you.

As someone stated above - only thing is a clear water bottle, without the label.

And seriously - if you spent this time studying, rather than worrying about which drinks to drink when - you'd do a lot better in your HSC.

The only time I've ever taken anything of the sort for the purposes of waking up is when I'm zonked in the morning at work after a late night out (or just a late night in general). Never even worried about it for the HSC.
