Is this in the year 12 mathematics course? I just came across it in a past paper (2006) but can't remember doing this since year 11... has there been a syllabus change or is it in here :S

I'm looking through the syllabus now and can't seem to find it.

Should be in the Year 11 book then.

Yeah it is. I just expected it to be in the year 12 one to reflect the syllabus. Well, at least I know now!

it's a year 11 topic in the syllabus (hence in yr 11 textbook), hsc maths exams test both yr11 and 12 syllabus topics

Ah ok. That makes more sense then. We were never explicitly told this by our teacher. Oh well, already studied a good portion of year 11 content for trials anyway. Just gotta keep revising!
