sense of place was wwhat i studies so lucky. the picture was shitty.
That was a good picture. You should talk about the overlapping multi-squared chess board structure, and how it elicits through the colours, that belonging can be enhanced through people, places, and can ultimately shape one's identity leading to happiness as illustrated through the aforementioned colours.

a) - talked about the colours and how they reinforce the postitive aspects associated with belonging to place/people
b) - used direct speech, emotive lang and talked about the need to belong to a place in order to accentuate a sense of affliation
c) - talked about the true value of belonging, and how being somewhere doesnt mean you necesarily belong
d) - talked about the negative aspects of belonging, how the persona feels alienated as a result of tranisitoning from one place to another

What was the question for the picture? starting to feel I treated it too simply, talked about different colours more or less and how they indicate different types of belonging... I always fuck up section 1

Select one aspect of the visual text and explain how it offers a perspective on belonging.

Yeah =/ I didnt know what to write so i said the contrast of colours reveals to the audience that there are different elements of belonging including one's attachment to places and all the other things they had in the boxes.

i said the composers use of varying colours represents the complex, multi-faceted nature of belonging. I said this was reinforced by the juxtaposition between colour and images, representing that belonging can be both idealistic and tangible.

I did alright in this section, for the picture i wrote about how they were all grouped together some had an image to convey place and some was just a word to show identity.. that's similar to what i wrote

So did I :) That transcript put me off, it was easier to do the last two.

Why is everyone so against the picture? It was only worth two easy marks?
Yeah, I dunno, for me it was more like, can I actually get 2 marks for what I said or is it only 1. So I wrote more on it than usual. Every mark counts.

a) stupid time management. Took section 1 too slow, and wrote too much for the 2 markers, picture, i just said sailence+position of the letter "place" indicates that a connection to place leads to belonging for an individual, image furthers' this idea by snipets of different landscape

e) what did people write for e? i did last two and only got 2 pages down on it :'( :'(
I like the Brooklyn one but :), i said how the author uses lots of juxtaposition to show how belonging+identity go hand in hand, like she belongs to elisnnocrothe and so her identity is based around that, but in Brooklyn she is just a "ghost"
and for the Jack one, i just said how a deep connection to place is needed for a holistic sense of identity, but jack realises he is "lost" and hasn't peeled back the "exterior of society['s]" he's visited and so doesn't have an identity as the "huge hungry world" demands alot of understanding to develop a connection to place
how many marks you recon? say i included some more techniques, this was just the main point, can anyone suggest whats needed for 5 marks, thanks :D
b) what did you put for this......cause it was how are personal insights into belonging conved.....o_O at personal insigts...i just said relaxed language and examples help convey it, and because each speaker draws a conclusion that helps convey...i was unsure

gl tmrw, hopefully jeane eather doesn't release anymore news statements.....

im actually more worried about the 2 markers than the longer responses LOL. idk, just feels like my responses to c,d,e were pretty good (although i can't really remember what i wrote for anything now)

was speaker 1 speaking twice of any significance? i didn't even notice that. didn't use that text for part e though so its all good (hopefully)
