Currently, im doing Complex Numbers, it seems pretty simple enough. I feel behind because I just learnt modulus and argument form of complex numbers.

My questions is; What parts/topics are you on now in your 4 unit class?

Much appreciated,
Kayven.

Our school does Complex Numbers/Graphs/Harder 3U.

People have rushed ahead and completed the first two topics...

Our 4U teacher leaves us to self-study during each lesson after theory. It seems dull and dry.

There's no set order which is universal among schools (although, integration 'should' be done before volumes). Some schools may start with a different topic.

My tip would be to stay ahead of the class. You will notice a difference towards exams, and towards HSC where there are usually concepts which need fine tuning, but there's little time left. Ask your teacher for a plan of topic order for the year; if you are dedicated, you'll find it pretty useful.

Edit: you only have 2 people :s. You should probably help each other and make sure you understand everything, and ahead of what your teacher will teach you.

Thanks but does staying ahead of the class mean to self teach myself few concepts?

Yes, but this could be as simple as reading ahead in a text book. You may not fully get it until you are actually taught it, but at least you won't be thinking "what the heck" in class. At least in Complex Numbers, you can usually work ahead because the concepts all relate to each other.

Just a question, how many hours per week do you get on MX2? Class time, that is.

My class is finishing up Complex numbers next week (I think we just have a bits and pieces to learn) and we are starting Graphs later next week. We have 3 lessons a week.

We get too many lessons. 3 x 80 minute periods a week.
Your teacher has been overloading you with so many lessons. BUT, at least your class goes very quickly, and hence you'll be able to complete everything in time, right before the trials, which would be better than our situation (I recall we rushed through the first six topics from term 4 to term 1, then we slowed down dramatically once we started conics T_T, and then our teacher barely even taught us circular motion by the end of term 3 =_=).

It's getting competitive, we are almost finished Complex Numbers. This is sure taking its toll on Spiral. Morning classes 5 am, three times a week...
