Can I please ask what state water is in as a product of the dehydration of ethanol?

Is it a liquid or a gas? And can you please explain to me why water would be in that state?

Thanks.

Chemistry Contexts 2 states "Industrially this involved heating ethanol vapour over a catalyst at 350'C".
My teacher gave us a few sources and they all say 180 so I don't know..

Temperatures which exceed 160 C allows dehydration of ethanol to occur however you might see different values in text books as different catalysts are often used and an economic rate for the reaction can vary. The syllabus really doesn't require you to know the exact temperatures, as long as you can identify the catalyst used and why, you should be fine. Also learn the equation!
