Is it possible to do a combined degree with engineering and advanced maths.

No, only normal Science.

Possibly double degrees with Adv. Maths are only Commerce or Arts.

check your UAC book, if it's there it is if not you can't do it. Alterantively you can do Engineering/Science and major in maths and do honours in maths which would be exactly the same as advanced maths.
