just a bit confused on these physics questions

1. "Magnetic field is a vector quantity so the direction of the field is very important. Based on the direction of the current , draw the magnetic field that was produced by the current in the wire"

2. "Examine the diagrams you have drawn for the magnetic field produced by the current-carrying wire and the bar magnets. Describe any relationship that is evident between the resultant magnetic field being produced and the direction of the motion of the copper wire"- what does it mean by saying the "resultant magnetic field"?

thanks

1. do right hand grip rule. fingers are in the direction of the current and the thumb is the north side.

2. the resultant magnetic field is the induced magnetic field by the current carrying wire. this induced magnetic field or resultant magnetic field follows lenz's law whereby the current flows in a direction such that its induced field opposes the magnetic field that created the current initially.

for q1- if i use the right hand grip rule doesn't the fingers refer to the external magnetic field? as opposed to the magnetic field from the current? how do u draw the magnetic field produced from the current?

the magnetic field produced by a current-carrying wire radiates out in concentric circles around the wire so magnetic field produced by current or external magnetic field, same diff. right hand grip rule as BadMeetsEvil said.
