How does everyone study ?

Personally I find it easier to read and read my textbook (no note taking). What do you think of this?

When I make notes I find that I get bored etc. (I am up to date with notes as I do them early) however I don't study these notes I use them for cramming before exams.


What does everyone think? This is for business, Eco and legal (I dont bother with ipt)

Haha, this is very much what i do. I like to read my textbooks given they have everything you need to know in them. Although I do collect case studies throughout the term and also a few notes and when exams come i skim through them making sure i have covered everything. But most of the time i just read and read.

For maths I do tonnes of questions and make a sheet of formulea

Same. Maths obviously you do questions and English you develop your essay.

I just find it easier to read and read. Not sure how effective this is though. But I do remember last year I burned out in yr 11 because I did so many notes and questions.

Today and last weekend, through reading I have found it alot easier

I usually read and highlight textbooks and then make notes from that chapter a few days after. Then I'll read and highlight the notes i've made before starting practice questions. I've also started making essay plans on broad topics as I find this helps me retain and organise my knowledge.

I read then make notes. Gradually, I decrease the length of these notes, revise and hit the short questions and (soon) past papers.

for science subjects i make notes during the term while ensuring i understand the concepts while learning. a few days b4 the exams i do maybe one past paper to get skills up while looking over the notes i've written.

for english, i write an essay and memorise the introduction quotes and explanation

In Economics and Business Studies, we do calculations to a certain extent, especially Economics...

I know. But with business and economics they are really easy and can be done simply on an a calculator in one shot.

In science you have to do this crap about motion, Chen equations etc n
