so I haven't had a great start. my aim is 95+ (happy with 90+)

4th term I ranked all in the top 3, but 35th in english advanced.

today i just bombed out of my comparative essay. ended up leaving it to the night before and panicked. its not that i'm bad at english. i'm doing pretty well in english extension.

what marks do i need from here to save myself? CAN I save myself?

There is more then enough assessments left in the year for you to pull your performance up.

By saving yourself, if you mean getting getting an internal of 85+, then of course you still have a few chances, as there are still some assessments to go. Just try harder, study harder, do not leave it to last day, and work towards at least 80, preferable 90, for your assessments, then you'll do fine overall, considering your other ranks are good.

If you want to achieve your ATAR aim, don't ever do this again.

You're still in with a chance, but granted most people who get 95 don't leave things to the night before. Just don't do it again.

My rule is: The quicker you write it (essay, creative), the quicker you are done and can revise.
Honestly, I start writing my essays after the notification is distributed.

Just ask yourself - how badly do you want that 95+ ATAR? If you really want it that much, you will study.

Don't give up though, I was ranked low for my first economics exam but then came tied 2nd in half yearlies, pulling myself up.
