I don't write that fast usually, but once I wrote 1300 in 45 minutes which was quite an achievement for me. It was very messy though. Usually I'm around 1100 in 45 minutes.

I was wondering how people write faster! Does the battery on the pen trick really work? Are there any other hints? And do you sacrifice neatness for speed? Is it worth it?!

I write about 1300 in 45 minutes.

Sacrificing neatness for speed is only worthwhile if it's still decently legible.

batteries on pens didn't work for me only because my handwriting is ridiculously horrible so it just made it worse. if you have neat handwriting, i'd go for a rubber, cut into two pieces and put it on both sides of the pen. it seems like the same thing in terms of mass, but it makes a difference

i would only sacrifice neatness for speed if you've reached a point where you're satisfied with your answer. if you're not and your handwriting is like mine, that maintain neatness

How do you guys test it out? I just brought up a timer and got on a random webpage and copied text for 10 secs then multiply it

Copying text is much different to writing from memory

I either write legibly, really slowly, and my hand hurts like hell after ten minutes, or I write at an average pace and no one can read it.

I only know because I memorised my 1400 word essay and reproduced it in 45 minutes xD It's better to do it from memory rather than copying.

And I think I might try the battery thing...just for fun.

Now, maybe 800 in 40 minutes lol, hardly write anything at uni.

That's not bad. At least yours is probably more legible!

My english exam today sucked. I struggled to write 1000 in 45 minutes, which usually isn't that difficult for me. D=

You got to train your hand to be able to tolerate the lactic acid.
