Hello

Could you guys please teach me on how to identify quadratic sketches then write the equation for that sketch. If you guys can do examples for me it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

As in, when you are given a parabola, find it's equation?

The roots of the equation, say and , are where it crosses the 'x' axis.

The factorised form of the equation will be .

So just substitute the values of alpha and beta in and expand.

Just slightly correcting realisenothing.

The factorised form of the equation is actually k(x-alpha)(x-beta) where k is some constant since obviously many parabolas can be drawn passing through alpha and beta.

True, completely forgot about the 'k'.
