can you move up a band by just trial and hsc exams (1 Viewer)

hi guys,
what i mean by the question, is that for example with English i am currently at a high band 4 level, if i do well in the trials and hsc exams for English, will i be able to move up into a band 5? or high band 5?
also if that is possible, what percentage of marks do you think i would have to get in each of the exams to get into a high band 5?

thanks. that does sound good, but sort of unrealistic. im not that good at English.
