Your schools rank is pretty good and you have some alright ranks relative to your aim and for the subjects you are poorly ranked in you are not ranked last. Its a bit hard to estimate but i'd say you are probably on track to getting around your aim. At such low ranks (im talking mainly about economics, bio) and even around the mid way mark putting in some effort for trials will pay off very well! What do you want to do after school that you need atleast 60 atar for? If you aim just a bit higher and put the neccesary work in getting an ATAR closer to or above 70 is a realisitc goal since you have both trials and the hsc left.

thanks man and um well for eco im considering it as being my ''not counted units'' but i am still trying and studying for it and getting the best mark i can and for bio i just stuffed up at the start of the year and im putting the effort in for my last assesments and exams like from after the half yearlys and onwards thats for all my subjects. i want to do a bachelor of business and commerce (accounting or sport management) at uws which is around 65 and im aiming for 70 but i want the lowest mark of 60 + 5 bonus marks for uws bonus points but im doing exactly what ur saying im aiming for higher than what i want and hopefully all the effort i put in pays off :)

Yes, your ATAR is calculated from your HSC marks which are composed of 50% external (HSC paper) and 50% internal. Your internal mark is (basically) calculated using your rank and how your cohort went as a whole in that subject for the HSC, if you don't do that well in trials your ranks will likely go down which will in turn mean a lower internal mark and a lower ATAR.
