yeah but for people who dont have the huge upper body, its a better look.
at 6"2', 91kg and a bench of 120 (I'm assuming this is for reps, not 1RM), he is not going to look like a stick insect

but he will look like a moron when he has chicken legs underneath that

Yeah I went to the gym yesterday and there was this absolutely huge guy wearing shorts. Tiny legs. It was pretty funny.

I think it looks ridiculous, but whatever. just let them train themselves out of proportion.

There is an abundance of studies that say training legs increases overall testosterone output, too, so you'll gain more muscle everywhere by doin squatz, son.

I also think women who just do cardio are fucking retarded. They spend an hour on the treadmill and wonder why they have flat butts. lol. FOOLS

Leg press 180kg
Squat 50kg
Standing calve raises 60 kg or so, just til failure
And lunges only with 15kg dumbells in either hand
Anyone got any awesome tips to getting huge quads? I single-leg extend 30kgs

seriously, so many women come in to my gym and i tell them to do weights and they are like 'but i don't want to get big' then I have to tell them about ~testosterone~ and they are mind blown. Like, seriously, what even?

lol that place has died in the arse since i left (it was all me. correlation = causation)

+1

That's why squats are considered one of the best, if not the best, exercises you can do. Quads are such a large muscle, working them would benefit your whole body due to testosterone released. Also while performing a squat so many other muscles are used.

I think the difference is that there's less chance of you putting too much/any direct pressure on your spinal column with a low bar squat

In the end, high bar and low bar really comes down to preferences though and what you're back/spine is more comfortable with although each form has their own benefits and disadvantages. From my experience, low bar squatters are exactly as Lolsmith said, those with back problems so they prefer to reduce the pressure on their spinal column.

intredasting ah okay, i've been doing high bar since i started and was wondering if there'd be any benefit to switching over to low, guess not and high seems more beneficial for oly lifting and front squats
