people who want to med, do they have give an interview? If yes, who conducts the interview? The uni he/she is applying for or what?

They do give an interview as long as you meet the UMAT and HSC Requirements. There are 2 people who usually conduct the interview. One of the staff of the Universities Medicine Faculty and just a normal member of the public.

Apologies to OP for the random spam. Mods, if you could clean this up that'd be appreciated.

The uni conducts the interview, and the format of the interview depends on the uni. UNSW and USYD are a panel, which is 2 or 3 people for around half an hour to 45 minutes. MMI's are multiple stations or mini-interviews. This is conducted my UWS and JMP (UNE/

lol kidding, hows Med m8?
It's pretty good, but a lot of stuff just goes over my head and half the time im sitting in my lectures going wtf. That said the other half of my time is going how stupid is med since it's loaded with a lot of bureaucracy such as ethics and "quality of medical practice" which is essentially a really boring ~ 3 year long stats cour

lol is med harder than engineering? :S

Also, is it too much maths involved in Med like in engineering?

Probably engineering is harder then med, mainly because you don't do any engineering at school apart from basic physics and maths. There isn't a lot of hard maths in med (like calculus or trig which is most certainly in engineering), but there are some basic formulas which are tricky because they are all acronyms. For example CO = SV x HR, CO is cardiac output which is the amount of blood pumped by the heart per minute, SV is strike volume which is the amount of blood pumped by the heart per beat and HR is heart rate (beats per minute). On top of the that, BP = TPR x CO, BP is blood pressure in mmHg, and TPR is total peripheral resistance - the resistance to blood flow in the circulatory system. But then the resistance = knL/r^4 where k is a constant, n is viscosity, L is the length of the blood vessel and r is the radius if the vessel.
