Solve. I'm not sure what to do when it's squared, that is all. If I square root both sides, I get on the right, but that isn't an exact value.

Well, wouldn't you just take both cases?

ie. tan3@ = 1 and tan3@ = -1

Then solve individually

And tan45 = 1 so yeah

That makes sense, but can I just solve the positive value?

No, you have to solve the negative case as well then pick the answers that lie within the domain.

Yeah, I understood that after I wrote it, my bad. I got the answer. Now I'm answering questions for :)

What's the difference for that?

Basically just taking the answers that are within that domain ie -180 to 180, nothing much.

Hmm, so given the last question you'd approach it the same way then what?

what domain are we talking?

for 0 = < x = < 360.

x= 0 or 360

the general solution is x= 360n (where n is an integer)

IM pretty sure you don't go about it with domain
this is my working for a solution, correct me if its wrong

so for values

this is your basic angle
so do the ALL STATIONS TO CITY if you know it that way or the values lie in every quadrant therefore

thus to get answer b/w you divide by 3 giving an answer of

p.s i suck with latex never used it before so goodluck reading it :p
