Lol, but I do, I'm not going to say the world is made of rainbows and smiles and do what you want forever and live off sunshine for the rest of your life because that just isn't true, some people on here actually need to be told what they're doing it terrible and to wake up, smell the shit, and sort shit out.

Honestly, I don't think they are great.
I think if you wanna do research into diseases and shiz though, your best bet is to do BMedSc or BSc(Adv) and major in Histology, Immunology, and stuff like that.
Although, I would recommend MedSc more because then you can get away with not doing too well in a few units here and there in second year (because it's so competitive) and then doing well in regular science units for a major in third year, whereas, if you did Bsc(Adv) then you have to keep getting distinctions and above throughout your degree to stay in your course otherwise you'll get kicked down to regular science with the plebs and that might not look desirable on a graduation certificate or whatevs.

nope. I didn't do HSC physics.

Yeah, I do Med Science and Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. (ew)

No. At Usyd first year science subjects are mostly offered at four different levels:
Fundamentals - You didn't do that subject in HSC but it is a requirement of your course that you do it in first year.
Regular - Did it in HSC but don't want to major in it in Advanced science but do want to do it for some reason.
Advanced - Did it in HSC, did quite well, got a good ATAR and are interested in it. Probs going to make it an Advanced major. (or like me just do as may of these as possible because you are a masochist)
SSP - A slight step up from Advanced for people that got ATARs of 99+ and a band 6 in the HSC subject.

Although, first year Psych is only offered at the regular level for obvi reasons, and Bio is only offered at Regular and Advanced level.

Well, for straight MedSc at USyd you have to do the following in first year:

First sem:
6CP - Biology
6CP - Chemistry
6CP - Maths
6CP - Psychology or Physics

Second Sem:

Yeah, my mother is a pharmacist and has been for 20 - 30 years. She's told me that (as others have said) that there's an oversupply of pharmacists and that the pay isn't fantastic. The Government's Job Seekers website says that employment will grow strongly, however, so I don't know what to make of that and my mother's opinion.

But if you find a strong interest in pharmacy itself, do it I guess. Otherwise there are many other ways to help society.

Well, my tutor this sem said he taught most of what we were doing, maybe a little less, maybe a bit from other stuff in pharm maths tutes last semester.

Probably 85-88, due to the lower demand for them nowadays.

I read in the newspaper a few weeks ago that the starting salary for graduate pharmacists is one of the lowest, (like $35 000 i think) while job prospects were also bad with a bit under 50% being able to find work in the first year after the graduate.

Biology is only recommended, should I study for it before I go into uni or just focus more on chem????

Just do the most basic biology unit in first semester (BABS (I don't know the numbers) at UNSW and BIOL1001 (or 1911 if you get an ATAR >95) and you should be fine without a bridging course.

Hi, At UWS we do not have any HSC subject pre-requisites, so you could certainly get into the Bachelor of Medical Science without having done the recommended subjects during the HSC, provided you achieve the required ATAR.
