I was pretty impressed with the seeming ease of the paper this year. With the exception of multiple choice, of course. I think that I ended up with 10/20, possibly 12 max for multiple choice, but then I always fuck up multiple choice in Physics because it's so god damn deceitful. Nearly everything else was a dream come true, though, especially Medical Physics, where I have enough confidence to believe that I got 23-25/25 for that section.

I was a bit skeptical with my answer for that length relativity question, and I'm sure I stuffed the Angry Birds question something shocking in my calculations, although I still think that I did enough for a 2 or 3 out of 4 for it.

^Yeah more or less that... in shitty dot point form because I still haven't worked out how to pace myself in exams :p
I didn't know what to write for Q.34, c)

Like I didn't know how to relate that neutron shit to De Broglie's work :S

Didn't you talk about anything else? Conservation laws are everything... you could say random stuff like neutron scatterring, particle accelerators, standing waves...

l got 40.2 cm for the length relativity question, since it was from the electron's frame of reference.
if it was from and observer's frame of reference it would be smaller

lol 0.4 was the original length :p

if u round off 0.39 to 0.40, then u get the same length, meaning the length did not contract -.-
true....medical physics was easy asss.....straight forward questions off dotpoint. cant believe the 6 marker was about ultrasound..

Yeah... that's the point. I said 0.39blahblah = approx 0.4, meaning there is a reduction but it is minimal

good exam. What hsc physics should be like. Some of the questions required some thought so that was good. I left projectile till last and then didn't get enough time to think about it. Looked 3 unit to me lol. So will get 0/4 for that. Options --> med physics--> completely stuffed up. but core was nice.

For the design I put B aswell. If you check power loss for super conductor, it turns out to be more than B. hence B is the best. But I'm not certain on this. Once again, it was a nice question.

A- 80% efficiency
B- 98.4%
C - 99.7% efficiency

it asked for calculations not theory, so I think price might be irrelevant. iono

urgh if it was from the electrons frame of reference, then there would be no change since the laws of physics hold true in an inertial frame of reference. (remain 40cm)
