Hey guys I'm about to start mech engineering at UNSW. I haven't done chemistry and I was wondering if i should not do the recommended mats1101 as it is an elective. I was thinking about doing GMAT1110 as it looks interesting. I just want to know if this is a wise decision as I don't want to regret not taking mats1101 and it being assumed in other subjects. Thanks.

Don't do it if you don't want to. I won't be choosing it (and I am doing mech). Recommended =/= Compulsory, so that's fine, and it's not a prerequisite for later year subjects. Definitely do GMAT1110 if you reckon it looks interesting.
