ok

so if it says ethics or something, can we do all three?

when do we do all three then?
When it doesn't specify. When it's just broad like: "How does Christianity reflect etc etc".

But is your teacher a hsc marker, because if he/she is, then ill defs be doing that

I can't really confirm it, but he was the head of religion at my school (catholic school) - is 45 years old, studied many theology degrees, so I think it's safe to say he most probably is a hsc marker but I just can't confirm it - he sure fits the type

tbh, it's not that one is regurgitating an essay when they are relating the person/practice/ethics, it's more the fact that they are inseparable from each other

for example, John Paul II > his stuff on bioethics yeah... well that's a person and he's advising the catholic/christians on bioethics that synchronize with christian principle teachings, because he is obliged to due to his response to his baptismal call

like sure, it's easy not to mention it, but it's denying the bigger picture which is almost a given

I won't do it just incase, I'll learn more quotes soon tonight, so I can answer one if it comes up, but it's almost inevitable to link it together in some facets

Spiritual, your teacher sounds great. What a insightful response that would of been! I'll think about this tomorrow - and may even ask my teacher what she thinks of it before the exam.

Good luck everyone! I'm sure you're all like me and cramming some last minute study in.

Hoping for an integrated question ----> want to smash Judaism! Been doing some practice on integration and I'm looking to put it into practice.

Also, I have a feeling it won't be integrated. It's just been that sort of exam period - where I've tried to guess what they'll ask us (with the classic line: "they won't ask us that ..." appearing before every exam), and sure enough, I've been wrong!

I agree, I reckon they should all be linked regardless, but hsc can be a bitch in what they want.

true

tbh, I hope they give us a linking one

like ethics or the betterment of the individual

something retarded like that

I'll be up till like 2-3, sleep for 2 hours and cram a bit more and go

religion and peace - my strongest section, just read over my essays and memorized quotes

christianity - quotes from jp2 and read over his works, also quotes from bible about ethics etc

judaism - a bit of maimonides, doing marriage now

post-1945 - memorized stats and aboriginal read over

just did religion and non religion as well

I like sor2 though, relaxing subject and I guess it's free-flowing

hence why I don't mind staying up for it, because it's relatively enjoyable...

I agree. I enjoy learning about the different religions - something that I can't relate to/know nothing about. Islam is quite an interesting religion when it's looked at in detail. Just finishing up Hajj. Time to some Christianity, then probably Judaism tomorrow morning. SO TIRED. Tomorrow will be my fourth consecutive exam. Ancient on Friday will make it five.

no ancient, food tech and I dropped general maths last year lol

bringing me to that thought, I do regret that

I could've kept it as a band 6, and dropped biology because it's so friggin boring

Okay I'm going to integrate them even it ask for one specifically.
In the 2012 HSC markers comments towards the question which asked to write about a significant person they stated.
"In some responses, candidates discussed ethics or practice without any links being made to the person or school of thought."
Therefore it can be assumed that you are able to link them all together, as long as you LINK them.

I think this is where teacher was getting at, if you're going to say "john paul and bioethics" then say something ridiculous like the sacrament of marriage, then one can't link that

so just

always create that intertwining - I think in the half yearly I even stated that all three demonstrate the concept or something similar to that effect and I got 18/20 for that essay

HSC papers? or past Trials? Couldn't find ANY past Trials for SOR :/

I'm out for the night ... well, I'll be up at 3 for more study but I can't retain information if I'm tired so I better just go to bed and wake up tomorrow morning a little refreshed - if that's even possible. Good luck all!
