I did 2012 past paper and got 83/100 :(

Its not frustrating, I sometimes miss the key concepts of the question leading to choosing the wrong answer :(

It takes me good 20 mins to do MC :)
Yea, general feels like a comprehension test sometimes it is reallyyy easy to misinterpret the question

Ok you have 4 different charges to add up. First, if its a week where he gets an emergency call out so its a $150 allowance. Then you just have his normal working hours, 40 x 22.35 = $894. Then you have his 5 hour callout paid at double time, so 22.35 x 5 x 2 = $223.50. Then his 2nd call out is only 1.5 hours, but it says that callouts are paid for a minimum of 4 hours double time, so its 22.35 x 4 x 2 = $178.80.

So add them all up 150+894+223.5+178.8 = $1446.30 = D

Got 88 raw for 2011, made some terrible mistakes in multiple choice.

Any idea what this would moderate to? I was thinking 93-94.

I'm no expert but thats probably what I would estimate, definitely no higher than 94 though. In the most recent raw marks database, a raw of 89 in 2009 was aligned to 95

Yeah that's what i was going off. I might do the 2009 paper to get an indication to where i sit...

Are there any other raw marks around? Surely it's not only one...

That 1.5 hour time gets put up to 4 hours worth of double time. That'll fix up your answer. Remember, he gets payed a minimum of 4 hours.

Also, does anyone know how to do this question? I really don't see any other way other than inverse logs which I don't think would be in general maths - so I feel I'm doing it wrong.

Shelley invests her savings in an account. The account pays 8% p.a. interest compounding quarterly.

After how many years will Shelley's investment double in value?

just did 2012, 2011 and 2009 past paper :) did reasonably average, but multiple choice always loses marks there :(

Andrew is to recieve a regular payment of 6000 at the end of each year for 3years. He invest each payment immediately at 7.5%p.a. compounded annually.Find the total amount of the investment at the end of 3 years. (Please explain, I'm stuck. Back of book says it's 18450, I got 19383.75)
