This is assuming the top 2 HSC exam marks are 95 and 85. There is no reason why someone else can't get a higher HSC exam mark.

The top 2 HSC exam marks are averaged, then that becomes your assessment mark. This is then averaged with your own HSC exam mark to get your final HSC mark (of course with the process of aligning, but ignore it for the sake of simplicity).

Yes, correct.

Then your final HSC mark is (94+85)/2 = 89.5 which is rounded to 90; the other person will get (95+94)/2 = 94.5 which is rounded to 95.

Just note that for the purposes of the reported mark on your transcript, they are rounded to the nearest whole number. You didn't actually gain 0.5.

oh 1 more question, say first gets 93 and second gets 90, so (93+90/2) = 91.5, will that mean my moderated mark will be 92?

Your moderated assessment mark will be 92 yes.
