is anyone still going to use their laptops next year? i typed all my class notes on my laptop last year but i'm changing to books this year... i'm thinking of bringing it for classes which have textbooks on the computer but otherwise have no purpose for it

Yeah, still going to be using laptops but less as they can be VERY distracting

also good to see you are keen on medicine, most people change their mind about what specialty they want to go into during their years of study though haha

I know!! It's a very arduous career but I'm prepared to work I just pray I get the results to do the course ( I love the job though, it's what I really earn to do

I agree with what you said about the hard copy stuff, laptops really get in the way sometimes but they are still useful for additional resources

I'd have to say Business Studies since I felt as though I could see the stuff I learnt in real life scenarios (as nerdy as it sounds when my friends and I were walking through a shopping centre we would always try find the promotional strategies that businesses undertook).

Economics is also quite interesting and I found it useful since you broaden your knowledge of the economic world in general by studying it imo.

Honestly there were too many times when I wanted to bang my head against the wall repeatedly while studying Legal Studies but I came to really appreciate doing the subject in the end (both content wise and just the general mechanics of the subject).

Yeah I was in the same situation. After doing prelims Business Studies and Commerce in Year 10 I found that my interest lied in Social Sciences, and by that time I decided that I wanted to do Commerce at UNSW (even though at the time it seemed like I wouldn't even receive a 90 ATAR). Social Sciences are subjects that you can definitely do well in as long as you persevere with the hard work and it helps a lot that you have a growing interest in them.

I didn't choose any social sciences, though I did commerce in year 9/10 and hated it 0.0

Aha did you mean my love for sciences is like your love for social sciences?? I actually liked the legal aspect of commerce but I couldn't afford to take legal because my school only allows 12 units
