Gap years are only considered a waste of time if people don't use it to derive any benefit.

So my modern history essay got destroyed by my english tutor who was way more critical than my history teacher.

Don't know whether I should just edit it or scrap it and start again...

I did my speech for english and got 10 / 15 for it

I was considering scrapping it for the written essay which was practically the same as the speech so I edited it and ended up getting 13 / 15 for it :D

gap years are a waste of time and it makes you fall out of study habits. Trust me I know.. I did it once
Actually Universities prefer and recommend students to take gap years before beginning Uni now.
I'd be great if you had relatable work ready or for sure was going to travel but otherwise its a waste of time I reckon.

So looks like I'm gonna write from scratch.

*sigh*
Haha ok then take it easy man :D

What I usually do is write the essay within one day and make it year 6 standard

Then I spend hours on it editing every single sentence making it Preliminary Advanced English standard

It seems to work relatively well for me :D
