Hi all! I was wondering what would I need to do in order to pursue a career in event management? Would a Bachelor of Commerce help me? If not, what degree would I need? Thanks!

I don't know about what university you're looking at but at UOW they have a commerce degree with an events management major. With this degree you also gain a diploma of Event Management from TAFE.

A Commerce degree in combination with some postgraduate studies would probably be a solid idea - there are probably some Arts/Communications degrees which could also be sufficient. However, breaking into events management would be quite difficult, so you would need to work on gaining relevant experiences in uni (whether that be with organisations, or through clubs/societies and volunteer work).
