If I recall, (at UNSW) you can't combine comp sci with software eng - so i'd say its the same with info sys. But I cant find that in a quick google search, so maybe I was misinformed. No idea why you'd want to do that anyway.

Out of UTS and MQ for engineering, UTS is the obvious choice - MQ don't even have a faculty of engineering. It's just a department of the science faculty.

While UTS Business offer a Business Information Systems major and an Information Technology sub major, an Eng or IT student can not enrol in these - so if that's you were planning you can't do that, and once again no idea why you'd want to anyway.

At UTS you also have the option of adding the diploma in eng practice where you will have to do two 6 month internships. Can easily do that in any other course if you want, but it wont be part of the curriculum so you might just not bother. I am currently a third year BEng BBus Dip Eng Prac student at UTS and through my first internship have already got a full time software development job. But a lot of people in my cohort were not able to find development internships, so keep that in mind.

There's a Bachelor of Engineering (Software) / Bachelor of Commerce (Information Systems).
