FCKTHISSHT. PSYC2014 essay did so bad and main criticism was that I was too 'philosophical'. WHAT. You're asking to be empirical with an ESSAY which asks me to compare two THEORIES!?!?!?!?

I HATE EVERYTHING HOLIDAYRUINED FML.

My holiday's ruined too - tried to apply for a vacation scholarship but got an email saying that my application wasn't successful. :(

I regret not paying attention in class ~ all these words are foreign to me that even Google/Wikipedia can't give me a straight answer. :(

I spent Saturday-Monday kicking back doing absolutely nothing (anything not uni), so while I don't understand a word of my lecture notes, I'm feeling nice and relaxed while I'm not understanding them.

Although, screw this weather. I wanted to head to the beach, but it's too hot.

I'm still struggling to keep pace with my lectures. It seems hard, though. :-(

Same here. :-(
My sympathies. I have one lecture which is recorded (audio only) by the lecturer on their phone. They draw on the board too, and every now and then they decide not to upload it to BB if attendance at the lecture is poor.

Doing one of my coursework essays on the philosophy of time travel in science fiction. I love what I study.

Was semi-productive this mid-sem. Considering that I was volunteering for APSA during the week as well as having to write essays. A downside was that I took a strategic hit to my marks (2) so I can get 4 extra days to work on my essay.....

Also... does anyone know what happens when assignment has been set during mid-sem break and it directly runs against the faculty's policy? I had an assignment due today which is considered during the mid-sem break. According to section 3 point 4 of the Policy on Late Work by the faculty of arts and social sciences it states that

4. No assignment will fall due during a mid-semester non-teaching week, during any Common Week or during Stuvac week.
Other than being a dick and contesting the 2 mark penalty... anyone encounter such an issue? They could possibly argue that the assignment was due last week but the lecturer granted a simple extension to everyone but I'm not sure how that will go..

Got a head start with two units with major essays due in Week 13. I'll work on it bit by bit and hopefully finish by the weekend of Week 12.

Only thing is that for one unit it is really difficult to find relevant articles and it seems people are relying on material from the lectures to scrape them through.

To the others on here doing HPSC2101, have you ever gotten your Essay 1 marks back? Been patiently waiting for them to see how I went before starting Essay 2 (no point writing in the same style if thats not what they are looking for) and really wanted to have it out the way by the end of midsem.

I had a maths midterm (which should be marked very fast since maths exams usually have standard answers) a month ago, and I still haven't received my marks ... I'm eager to know my marks since I know I did badly on the midterm - I just want to know if I managed to pass or not. :mad3:
