I don't get it, Asian Cup is suppose for Asians, why are there Black (Oman), White (Australia), Arabs teams in it?? It's essentially a World Cup!

Idiot, Oman is an Arabic country not a 'Black' one. There are of course Arab African communities in it, just like a few of the other Gulf Arab countries.

You speak as if white people are ethnic to Australia, which as you know is total bullshit. Ethnic Australians are Aboriginals, therefore 'black' rather than 'white'.

In terms of Asia, it is a huge continent yes. Spanning from Palestine past all the Arab states (to the right of Palestine), (the Arab states on the left of Palestine are the Arab states of North Africa- Egypt,Algeria, Libya are part of Africa), to the Persians of Iran then through Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan etc) past Afghanistan/Pakistan then India/Bangladesh/Nepal/Sri Lanka etc, then ALL the East Asian (China, Korea, Vietnam, Mongolia etc) down through IndoChina (Indonesia, Malaysia etc) then finally stopping at Australia.

The term 'Asian' has been adopted in Australia to refer only to East Asians (Chinese, Vietnamese etc). In the UK, Asian refers only to Indians/Pakistanis/Arabs all brown people basically. When in actual fact any of those above listed are actually Asian.

Humanity must redefine the word "Asian".

Europeans and Africans are both race specific, why not Asians. Middle East should have it's own continent.

It's called the AFC Asian Cup because teams in the football confederation AFC (which Australia is part of) compete in it. Football nations do not always play in a confederation corresponding to their geographical continent. For example, Kazakhstan's football team is part of UEFA (the European football confederation) despite being part of Asia geographically. Same with Israel’s football team.

Australia used to be part of the OFC (Oceania’s football confederation), but eventually switched and became part of the AFC, mainly because, I think, Australia was too strong for the other Oceania teams (e.g. Australia beat American Samoa 31-0 in a world cup qualifier in 2001).
