A bit too much on the clock.

That one doesnt have an EJ btw - it's a 6 cyl.
Yeah I knew it was a 6cyl. That's why I actually thought it was a decent price haha.

It's pretty much a station wagon without the extra rails along the back.

I think toe in on the front set and rear set looks even uglier than how your tyres look after you have worn them out due to the toe in.

Today I successfully achieved backfiring even though it scared the daylights out of me.

I guess that's what happens when you try to run that rich for such a long time hahaha.

I don't think I'll attempt that again though. Backfiring isn't all that great health wise.

I don't want you getting ideas, but there's a lot more control for a person (and hence much more room for human error and human hooning) with a cable throttle compared to ETC.

Though if you are crazy enough (which I might be ;)) you can have a play around with an ETC and make quite a few hoon deliverable settings if you are a smart cookie.

Anything with cable throttle and at least a semi manual transmission (or manual). I already gave you the hint before. You'll find out the rest one day when you are mature enough to not over-indulge in back-firing.

It's an EZ30D in that car, the EJ series engines are 4cyls.

I find that suddenly lifting the throttle at high RPM or clutching in will automatically have the car backfire even on a very tame road tune. The crackle on the overrun gives me a smile everytime but antilag would no doubt get annoying if you had to live with it day in, day out.

please explain how you did it?
Overrun crackle is just unburnt fuel detonating in the exhaust rather than in the combustion chamber, just force the car to run "rich", ie: significantly more fuel than air in the air fuel ratios. It's quite deliberate in most tunes for the car to be run "rich" at higher RPMs, both to reduce knock and to lower engine temp (unburnt fuel essentially absorbs and draws heat out through exhaust). Therefore, rev up so the car is running rich then suddenly cut off the flow of air, so lift off or clutch in. There'll be a moment where fuel is still being delivered even though the intake is closed; your engine runs based on air flow not fuel delivery and fuel delivery is calculated based on the amount of oxygen delivered to the cylinders. Fuel follows air. So your air intake valves close, fuel is injected but NOT combusted and instead ejected through the exhaust valves into a hot exhaust where it goes bang. You'll notice that cars almost never crackle if you've just started them, fuel won't detonate in a cold exhaust pipe.

tl;dr. Rev high + sudden lift/clutch in = :D

Yeah I had to do a lot in the first place with mine to get it to run rich. Then once I was done with with running rich, I floored it so that there would be a lot of air in the exhaust to give the pop.
