So the 2015-16 budget came out in May as we all know.
However in Rileys and Dixon there's only info on the 2014-15 budget. (Obviously)

So which one do we use for the trials and hsc when questioned about the current budget ? The one which is more relevant and recent or the one in the textbook ?

Honestly I believe that you should include budgets that are relevant to your explanations in your essays. For example the 2008-09 and the 2010-11 budget to illustrate the effects of fiscal policy on economic growth. In terms of which is better to use, all of them are good as you can talk about the trends of the impacts of the budget (for example the contractionary stance of the budget, ever since the 2010-11 budget, has reduced the budget deficit from $43.3bn to $33bn in the recent budget, and is projected to be in a surplus by 2020). So use whatever is relevant.

Ah okay thanks. I just got up to the 'Current stance of fiscal policy 'chapter and I was a little put off by the heading.
