$Draw typical 3d diagram, with a diagonal line representing south to north and and horizontal line representing east to west$

$Label the base of the flag pole (where those two lines meet) as O and the top of the flag pole as H$

$$ Label P to on the left side of the horizontal line (as it is given as west) and connect it towards the top of the flagpole, noting that the angle of elevation is 38 $ ($given$)$

$Repeat with point Q$

$As the flag pole is perpendicular to the plane, and you're given the length and an angle in a right angle triangle,$

$Use the $ \tan $ ratio in both triangles OPH and OQH$

$\therefore tan38 = \frac{15}{OP} ==> OP = \frac{15}{tan38}$

$tan25 = \frac{15}{OQ} ==> OQ = \frac{15}{tan25}$

$Then use pythagoras' theorem in triangle OPQ in order to find the length PQ$

The only problem i'm having is drawing the diagram. Can someone give me a visual demonstration of the diagram and I can probably do the rest.

Try to imagine the sides PH and QH going "up" the 3d plane. The paint drawing is hard to represent it

Yup got it.. thanks man. Fuck i cant visualise 3D shapes in my mind.
