yeah the reading to write is bs, I think for now this common module will be pretty chill till next term when we actually start doing stuff

bos has been dead for a while but also there aren't that many 2019ers imo

Relax man, you don't need to study as much. Focus on doing stuff like extracurricalars whilst you still have tonnes of time.

I'm saying the same thing, too. Although we're all speaking too soon. Heck, I'm saying this now when it's 10PM and I still have to finish my Bio report that's due tomorrow. New year, same habits... rip.

i hate my school, i turned down a choice of moving to a new school and im regretting this so badly. I'm doing 3U math, 3U eng, eco, chem and phys

1) chuck phone out of the window
2) download self control or cold turkey, (i use self control sometimes on mac)
3) put in all the webstites you get distracted by and set a time
4) turn off music (people say it helps but you end up focusing on the songs, even when you 'forget' your listening to music)

if worse comes to worse sit near ur parents at the dining room or kitchen etc. Or tell them what you plan to do this afternoon and then they check

Question: Anyone have any tips for increasing writing speeds? My speed is decent but at the expense of my handwriting (it's legible and readable, but I'm perilously close to that not being the case). Does the battery on the pen trick have any use?

yeah the battery pen thing works, I do most my work with heavy weighted pens but in the exam I use this really light plastic pen from overseas with no lid so it reduces the weight of the pen even more

Just keep writing daily e.g. spend 30 minutes writing out stuff as fast as possible.

If you mean for english - I just cut my stuff down so I could finish, I usually wrote around 900 words per essay which was less than standard but it accommodated for my writing speed.

if u have heaps of pens with that weird hook on the lid and you wanna be edgy, hook as many as you can onto the hook and it will look like a big pen skyscraper.

hey. That's actually pretty interesting. I was just writing lesson summaries in another notebook but this seems like a better idea - taking down summaries in one word doc that is. What did you end up deciding to do?
