I got a zero in English (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately I received a zero in an English essay worth 20%.

How severely will this affect my ATAR? Would this mean an ATAR of 95 is not possible anymore? If not what kind of Atar is possible.

I'm quite curious how you managed to get 0 too. For example, if you achieved 85% for the remainder of your internal assessments, you'll be at 68/100 for your internal mark. However if you achieve a relatively higher mark in the HSC exams, your internal mark gets scaled up (if I'm not mistaken?). With with 80% of internals, Trials and HSC exams remaining, you have plenty of opportunities to rectify your ranking / overall mark for English - It boils down to the dedication you have to the course. I have a pretty limited knowledge about how this mark may affect your course mark overall, but I'm confident your road isn't over for English.

I agree with the above. Despite 0 having a significant effect (missing the whole 20%), you can still rectify this to an extent by making sure you work/study extremely well for the rest of your assessments/exams. This will allow to get extremely high marks in the rest of your tasks, allowing you to end up with a decent rank and a decent internal mark. It's crucial that you start as soon as possible as improvement is not easy in a situation like this. All the best
