other than your science, ur grades are good tbh, but I don't know how u managed to get all A for geo, bc no one in my school gets an A for geo and there are ppl who rlly try yet get a C or a B
I got full marks for both assessments for geo. and my teacher is really easy going so he gave me an A. Yeah I crushed my science test, but I got over 90% for the second and third one so I don't mind it

When applying to selective schools, I’m pretty certain your rankings in each subject is more important than your grades. Since different schools have varying systems of grading and exam/assignment difficulty, it becomes fairly hard to compare applicants by the number of A’s and B’s alone.
Yeah that's why most selective schools have some kind of test. But this year it was cancelled so they had no choice

that's really odd as scimat had 2 extra curricular and grades similar to yours and got into girraween. Maybe hurlstone and fort street are more competitive
No the thing is that care about your rankings as well. I got 30+ certificates from my school, including overall achievement for year 7 and 8 and a scholarship. That's what pushed my profile

Congrats! It will definitely be a huge step up in terms of overall difficulty and competition but remember you were accepted because the admissions department believe you have what it takes to succeed at Normanhurst, so you don't have anything to stress about.
What would you say would be the average mark for a maths or english test. Because at my school the average is 60 usually, so I wanna get an idea

thanks so much!
do you think i should be preparing anything between know and next year, because im just worried ill be at the bottom of the cohort considering how difficult year 11 is going to be.

I definitely don't think you will be "bottom of the cohort", but there isn't any harm in preparing ahead for next year. It's also a good idea to clarify any concepts you find difficult this year especially for subjects like maths and science since they will only become more challenging and complex at Normanhurst.

hey guys, i just got informed about an offer for normo year 11 next year.

i currently attend a school ranked 120s so i was just wondering how much more difficult is the content/assignments/exams gonna be when i enter normo.
Congrats man! How were your grades and extra-curriculars? And for normo, don't you have to do a specialised test aswell or was it cancelled?
