Hi All,

Is it worth to attend Chemistry Olympiad summer school and wondering will that help me for my HSC?

It might help in having an overall knowledge of chemistry but it doesn't mean it will directly help you in HSC. The content is the same in some areas but then the style of questions is also different. HSC there is a lot of writing type questions.

If you want get a better understanding of chemistry and maybe do it in future as a degree then yeah olympiad would be a good experience. However, if you are talking directly related to the HSC you are better off going to a HSC summer course at a tutoring centre or going to a private tutor during the summer time.

I don't think many people have ever gone to olympiad summer school for the purpose of helping their hsc if that helps you at all.
the main goal at the end of the day should be trying to make icho.

it will without a doubt make you better at chemistry. at HSC chemistry? you could probably get better return on effort doing something else.

It is just IMO or International Maths Olympiad but for Chemistry as in ch for chemistry as ICHO is International chemistry olympiad. You are only allowed to do one olympiad.

fairly sure u can do multiple, but aus science limits it to one science a yr or smth.
