when ppl say if u bomb one of ur hsc exams ur rank can still save you…. How does that work - because wouldnt ur external mark only pull u down?

yeah, and your internal marks would pull u up. (you would have whatever place you are's assessment mark)

but... someone who has good internal rankings don't really 'bomb' exams. (unless something happens of course)

when you say strong do u mean everyone is sitting at 85+ for their external marks?

Depends on what you want to achieve for your atar.

Also depends on what you mean by "bomb" - if you get 0 in external then max overall HSC mark is 50

By bomb i mean like 70s as in thats my raw external mark, because my subjects dont scale well
