Here's a thing you can do with the fx-8200 AU for recurring decimals.

First let's do it without the calculator. Here are the rules in the Year 7 Cambridge:

Let the calculator help and you can see the fx-8200 AU says it is 0.2:

So what would a better rule be? One that relates to the position on the number line.

In the middle or above, round up.

Below the middle, round down.

And this can be illustrated on the fx-92B Secondaire (but not fx-8200 AU or most of the other emulators):

(Note that in France the decimal point is a comma)

i bought a few weeks ago and i barely use cause its so hard to get used to imo
its not that useful, complex is nice but i don't know how to do anything with vectors. What can it even do for vectors?

i think ill just use it as a secondary calculator for exams, I will mainly use fx-82AU PLUS II, 2nd edition, cause im used to that and dont have time to adapt

There is actually another way to do this. On Page 40 of the user manual we see this:
...
So no need to use the FORMAT button.
There does seem to be an error in the calculator that my friend and I observed in both of ours when doing average titre calculations:
- Average titre calculations involve adding 3 numbers then dividing the result, leading to a fraction on the calc which needs to be converted to decimal
- When using SHIFT-exe (≈) the conversion of the fraction to decimal was wildly wrong
- However, when using the FORMAT button, the conversion was right.

Is there something else at play here?
