Nope, if you want to change the degree at your current university you can do an internal transfer, or if you want to change universities you can do an external transfer. It's very flexible, a lot of people change around with degrees till they find something they want to stick with

no like i thought u study a major and many minors is that like all within the degree like modules in science that u could pick in the old syllabys

For co-ops and cadetships like IDeA it'll be quite inflexible as the uni and company (potentially) will most likely not like it one bit as companies are likely paying money and a lost student means that a company won't get what they paid for.

dunno, just what happens if you are in a specific program but then decide to jump ship and switch to a different degree

Let's take computer science for example: there's like 8 majors to pick from like Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, etc etc - the degree is like 3 years long so the first 2 years you'll be doing the same core courses as everyone else doing computer science, and in the last year you'll be doing courses related to your specialisation. I don't really know how minors work, I don't think you need to pick any unless you want to ig
