Is it necessary to write the first line when concluding (because I know they often give marks for a conclusion) OR will just writing the last line suffice?

Thank you!

just to reiterate, they don't give marks for the conclusion, but they will take away a mark if you don't have one. What i write is normally,

Therefore true by principle of mathematical induction for integers n >1 or something similar
Oh ok, thanks 👍

therefore true for n=k+1, if true for n=k. since true for n=1, true for n=2,3,4... and all integers n>=1 by mathematical induction.

Maybe it matters for internal exams where pedantic teachers can exercise their discretion, but for the external HSC exam no one really cares as there aren’t any marks allocated to the conclusion. If you want something to follow then see the official HSC sample answers.
