HOLY SHIT I LOVE NESA, I LOVE EVERYONE WHO WROTE THAT STANDARD 2 PAPER

On a side note does anyone know for the last Q regarding koalas and their z score - if we were suppose to round up or down?
I had a probability of like 36.6 or 7 (I forgot) and I rounded up, but math teacher said you had to round down?

The test was easy, with a few odd questions here and there, but overall very good. Thank you NESA.

Same, found it quite easy. With exception for a few questions, I felt it could have been the standard 1 paper!

wasnt the question asking how many koalas out of 400 would be expected to have a weight of less than 1114kg? Didnt you just times the probabilty of the z score by 400 to get ~383.2 (dont remember exact value) and round? down?

If you’re talking about overweight pandas with normal distribution mean 10.4 sd 1.15 and weight 11.93, I rounded up (the question was on advanced idk if it’s common)

i put unrounded and rounded as well. my teacher said if they didnt specify they will mark it right as long as you provided the actual answer.

im so dumb i used the probability for 1.32

How did you get 386/387? The z-score was approx 1.3261 so wouldn't it be like 37 or 38

how could it be 386 if there are 400 koaalas and z-score of over 1

the z table said that the probability was for scores below z, and the question asked how many koalas or whatever were over that weight. so you would need to do 1-probability in the table then multiply by 400 to get how many were over that specific weight
