hello,
I am a student currently doing economics prelims and i just got my first assessment task
its on the Introduction to economics and Consumers and Business
the assessment task has 3 components
- multiple choice (15 marks)
- short responses (30 marks)
- extended response (15 marks)
Altogether we have 55 minutes and 5 minutes of reading time
My friend and I are looking for tips to maximize any marks and have a killer test because our school is very competitive
So if anyone can help pls tell us tips on how to answer short and long responses ! thank uu

I think in general, just do loads of questions targeting different areas of the syllabus dotpoint. You're in Year 11 so wouldn't stress too much, but its good to build some habits early on. Things that helped me get an sr mark:

- make a big doc and add all the big syllabus topics on there, then type your responses to questions you find (harder since there's less yr 11 papers online)
- watch youtube videos, ecoplusdal helped a lot (i think that's his name).
- get feedback for your responses
- just rant in your responses. tip to scoring well is writing everything very thereotically, and posing different arguments here and there.

Get curious about different eco theories and contemporary news. Ecos one of those subjects that is absolutely not confined by the syllabus. Hope this helps.
